Why is honesty so numbing, though?

…f humanity, I believe. I was not going to post this, because I feel very numb as I write this down. Honesty has a way of feeling numbing, sometimes. Numbing, like the way you feel standing barefoot in the snow.

Why is honesty so numbing, though? What is it about my truth that really hurts you? If my truth hurts you this much, I would maybe hurt you a lot more. This hurts. Sorry.
